Meet our Vision Therapy Graduate: Mateo

Initial concerns:

  • Struggled with math & reading

  • Headaches

  • Double vision

  • Difficulty focusing

  • Difficulty tracking

  • Poor processing skills

Weeks of Therapy: 24 weeks

How are they doing now:

In the initial stages, Mateo struggled to grasp mathematical concepts and decode written words. His struggles weren't a result of a lack of effort but were rooted in underlying issues with processing information. Recognizing the need for a specialized approach, Mateo's parents opted for vision therapy, a non-invasive treatment designed to improve visual function and processing abilities.

Over the course of 24 weeks, Mateo engaged in a series of vision therapy sessions tailored to address his specific challenges. These sessions included activities to enhance eye-tracking, focus, and coordination – all essential components for successful learning.

As the weeks passed, Mateo's progress became increasingly evident. His mathematical proficiency improved, and decoding written language became a smoother process. The therapy not only targeted specific visual challenges but also had a positive impact on Mateo's overall cognitive abilities.
