Meet our Vision Therapy Graduate: Jonny

Weeks of therapy: 24

Identifying the Initial Symptoms:

  • Difficulty Tracking

Vision Therapy Sessions: Over 24 weeks, Johnny engaged in a series of structured vision therapy sessions. These sessions were tailored to his individual needs, gradually building his visual skills through exercises, games, and activities. The therapy aimed to strengthen the eye muscles, improve coordination, and enhance his ability to track moving objects.

Collaboration with an Occupational Therapist: Recognizing that vision is interconnected with other aspects of development, Johnny's parents enlisted the support of an Occupational Therapist. The collaboration ensured a holistic approach to addressing not only his visual challenges but also any potential sensory and motor skill issues that could be contributing to his difficulties.

Progress and Milestones: With each passing week, Johnny showed remarkable progress. His ability to track objects improved, and he gained better control over his eye movements. The collaboration between the vision and occupational therapists allowed for a comprehensive assessment of his progress, making adjustments to the therapy plan as needed.

Celebrating Achievements: Johnny's journey was filled with small victories and achievements. Whether successfully tracking a moving object, participating in activities with peers, or completing tasks that were once challenging, every step forward was a cause for celebration.
